Some history of the Maine car club that was hosted at www.evo-imports.com. Most of this information was scraped from the way back machine.
Website powered by PHP-Nuke. The site was also providing webmail for the members of evo-imports. The site was set up and initially managed by Rick. Link to the Way Back Machine version. The photo gallery had 503 images.
Here was the list of member rides at the time:

Evo Events: This year Evo-imports hosted its first Maine Coastal Rally {MCR}. Everyone received radios to communicate with and we were protected with the Escort 8500 X50 detector. We started in Old Orchard Beach on August 20th.{Evo members present; Brett-Mazda RX-7, Jeremy-Subaru 2.5 RS, Cole-Datsun 280 ZX} We then raced up 95 to Freeport for breakfast and some around-the-town adventures. From there we took route 1 to Bath Iron Works and then Damariscotta... Posted by brett on Wednesday, September 01 @ 21:33:30 EDT
The website moves to the Joomla content management system and gets a new template, forums, and a photo gallery that has ballooned to almost 2,000 images. Here is the Way Back Machine archive.
One of the news items is:
"Evolutionary Imports first cookout was a sucess, even though rain clouds lurked in the distance. Jen gave us our first look at her Mini Cooper, which was very nice. Polo shirts with our club logo were handed out to members with tuner rides. {Our thanks goes out to Rick's mother who digitized and stiched the logo} The Maine Coastal Rally was discussed as we chose a route to go on this year. This rally will start on September 10th in Freeport, Maine."
Here are a couple photos from Sept 10, 2005. Drivers were Peter (Cutlass), Cole (purple mini), Bryce (red mitsu), Brett (red rx7). The rally included an overnight at Cole's camp, and Will and Rick joined the crew for the overnight.
Member rides gallery has the following:
The two coastal rallys were in the fall. This year a longer rally was planned for the summer:
New Hampshire Summer Mountain Rally 8/12-8/13
"This will be Evo's first Summer Rally Event. If you like great scenery, twisty mountain roads, and great people than come join the rally. Check the forums events page for updates on meeting points and areas of interest. We will start South of North Conway and take the Kangamangus Highway over toward Franconia Notch. Make various scenic stops of interest along the way. (The Flume, The Once Old Man, Cannon Mountain). At the Notch we can get a cabin and do a night time cruise. In the morning we can head to North Conway through the mountains. Grab some lunch hit some shops etc.. Should be a good time so bring your Fun "O" Meter."
Here is the summary of the 2006 Summer Rally:
"All was a blast on our Evo Summer Rally 2006. Thanks to all that could make it. From camping to crazy double passing, everyone had fun. The weather could not have been any better.......perfect sun for driving and cool nights for camping. Not a drop of rain was felt. A few "thanks" go out....first to Cole for planning the camping arrangement, 2nd to Rick for letting us use his car for carrying some of our gear and 3rd to Will and Rick for filming our adventure.....and last but not least, Brycent for providing some driving music. Many pics are already up in gallery under "Projects and Adventures" and video will be added later as soon as I can edit it. On a sad note......as you have probably heard....Cole's Datsun 280 ZX was rear-ended in stop and go traffic by ... a land rover. From what Cole has said, it was a solid hit that yanked his radio from the dash and his keys from the ignition....her bumper crashed into his tail lights and damaged his rear quarter panel. Needless to say, the Datsun will be out for awhile. Untill the next event....keep the heel to the steel."
Joining us this year: Bryce (red mitsu), Jeremy (blue subaru), Cole (silver 280zx), Brett (red rx7), Rick (rx7?), Will (passenger).
According to the photo gallery, there was also a 2006 Evo Fall Rally to the Owls Head Foreign Car Meet
The photo gallery has over 4,000 images.
This is the first year we see mention of the Mt. Washington sled trip.
Here is the summary of the Evo-Import rally from this year:
Evo-Imports Summer Rally 07
This years summer rally is over. This was, by far, the best turnout ever.....11 people with 9 cars running the course...3 Mazda RX-7's, 1 Evo, 1 Mini, 1 Lancer, 1 350 Z, and 2 Scuby's. The weather could not have been better, except for that humid friday we had. Our thanks to the owner of "Maine Indoor Karting" for letting our group race and then inviting the "RX-7 fans" to check out his 3rd gen RX-7.
The driving was excellent on the twisty roads of New Hampshire and Vermont. The camping and cookout combo was fun,....and the Mt Snow resort was a blast. I hope all had a good time. Best of all,..everyone made it back home and no tickets were issued.
The photo album has 14 galleries for member rides:
The Mount Washington Sled Trip Part Deux was amazing. The snow was deeper than the last trip....and the air was much colder , especially at the lodge at the base of Tuckermans. The reading was -37 with the wind!!!!! The sledding was superb as we raced by another group of sledders. There were many places to catch air... including the ski ramp near the bottom of the mountain. Hope the skiers didnt mind some of us totally destroying thier ramp. {You know who you are.....lol} Dinner at the "Moat" in North Conway was great.
Rest In Peace Arthur
August 15, 16, 17.
Evo-Imports Rally 08 has come to a close. Surprisingly, no tickets were issued {only violations for OZ and Mazdarick Wink} The weather held out for the most part except for that crazy downpour on the way to the "Loaf". A congrats and a pat on the back to Zraced for taking 1st place again!!!! in the karting event. The top 3 were as follows....Cole, Brett and Rick. Can anyone knock the "Bailey Bros" out of 1st and 2nd?....maybe next time. I would also like to thank Zraced for letting us crash at his cabin. We all had a good time there. Hope all enjoyed the "Limited 2 disc set" of music...{Thank-x OZ and JDM FC} And once again.....thank-s Zraced for reserving the 2 condos at Sugarloaf. They were very nice and its a good thing we had no neighbors WinkWink. On another note, if you have not heard by now,...Zraced cracked the block on the Demon Z. It is now apart in Ricks garage. The head {that was on the Z and new block which Cole will have to bring up will be dropped off at a machine shop to see what kind of damage has been done. Hopefully, we can get this car back on the road again soon....it is in good hands Zraced so don't worry. So if you get a couple of hours to kill, check out the ever growing number of photos in the "gallery". Peace out, and we will catch you on the next rally............RALLY 09.
The initial rendezvous was in Freeport. First stop was Maine Indoor Karting, then up the coast toward Cole's camp for the night. The next day, Sugarloaf Mountain for a night in a condo. After the last day, many headed to Rick's with Cole to drop off the Datsun.

As for the fall BBQ:
This sunday {Oct 12th} is the Owls Head Foreign Car Meet and Airshow. This is a fun meet for all imports...i.e no trophies awarded. The museum will be open and if the weather co-operates there will be an airshow as well. After the meet, many will be joining Zman at his homestead for the final fall BBQ.
This monday {May 25th} an Evo-Imports member will be leaving the pack and heading out west to find internets. {South Prk joke} I kid, I kid.....Bryce a.k.a OZ will be making the move to Fresno, California to live out there with his girlfriend for who knows how long. He will be missed by many of the Evo club members, but, hopefully he will keep in contact. He is hosting his last BBQ at his home in Alna, this saturday.
Here is a photo gallery of the gathering. Fortunately, it wasn't his last BBQ.
This year, the rally was scheduled for August 21, 22, and 23.
The Evo-Imports 3 day Maine-N.H Rally has ended. Hope everyone who attended had a great time. Thank-x, Zraced for booking the nightly stays...esp at Attitash. As far as I know, everyone made it back in one piece...a Rally without a breakdown...go figure!

Sadly, a noticeable trend continues:
It was a great Rally this year. We all wished the snapped cam on the 280 was a dream, but this was not the movie Inception. Thankx Zraced for booking the lodging, it was a great condo. Hope all had fun. Many pics are up in Facebook....along with Bitgeists tweeked Evo Rally 11 video, which is very funny. Photos will be in gallery soon.....stay tuned.

But you can find a photo album from the rally here. More and more stuff is happening on Facebook at this point.

The site gets another redesign, mostly to slim down and be easier to manage. The main site was changed to static HTML (less hackable) and the forums were moved over to the host forums.evo-imports.com. These forums ran phpBB, and you can find an archive here. Unfortunately the Way Back Machine couldn't crawl the "Members Only" section of the forums.
There is also an archived link to the old photo gallery with almost 8,000 photos.

You can also find a photo album for the Rally 2014 here.
